A sweet new baby, a bundle of joy
Don't care if its a girl or a boy
We will welcome you with so much love
With blessings from the angels above
We will nuture you and care for you
Showering you with kisses and hugs too
Wondering when we can have some more
What more could a Grandma wish for
Ten little fingers and ten little toes
Being able to enjoy the highs and lows
Watching you grow year by year
Will bring a Gradma to shed a tear
Wishing you were a baby once more
But God has other things in store
Getting a job, getting married
Neither of these need be hurried
One day when you are grown
And have children of your own
Grandma will then be a great-Grandma
The proudest moment by far
But now this new bundle of joy
Is for us all to love and enjoy
Enveloping it with wondrous love
Brought to us from God above
